This program has been designed to achieve a number of aims under the umbrella of Diversity training:
This has been exceptionally successful across different occupational groups and business sectors. To get a sense of the program's success the program received an overall average rating of 4.3 out of a possible 5 from a total of 48 participants from the first programs run for a Government Business Enterprise whilst similar feedback was received from a group comprising equal numbers of female senior academic and general staff at a major Australian University.
Clearly the program has met a strong need and has been experienced as extremely useful by the participants. The program is targeted to female employees and allows discussion of a wide range of issues relevant to women in today's workforce as well as providing a number of up-to-date published journal articles salient to this topic.
The two day program is fast paced and interactive and practical and leads to a career plan completed by participants to take away and implement.
The program includes a Career Bibliography and a number of recently published articles on aspects of career issues affecting women. It also includes a number of self-diagnostic questionnaires to assist self-awareness. The learning process includes opportunity to network with other participants and to identify a career-support partner to work with during the program and afterwards.
